How it works
You ask. Your assistant does the rest.
Vela Drop hosts one self-contained HTML page and tells you who opened it. Your assistant publishes the page, makes the links, and reads the numbers back to you.
Step 01
Connect once.
Add Vela Drop to your assistant. One address, no key, no account. It takes about a minute.
Step 02
Ask for the page.
Your assistant writes it, publishes it, and gives you a link for each person. It saves the edit link, which controls the page, somewhere you can find it again, or offers to attach your email so the link can be sent back to you.
Step 03
Ask who opened it.
Today, tomorrow, or next week. Your assistant tells you whose link was opened, when, and from where, with mail scanners left out.
One link per person.
Your page lives on its own address. Each tag your assistant adds becomes a link of its own, counted separately.

Same page every time. Only the tag differs, so you know whose copy was opened without sending anyone a different document.
A tag has to be added before it works, and each is one word with no slashes. An address that hasn't been added returns "page not found", which stops a stray image reference inside your own page becoming a recipient who doesn't exist.

The edit link opens it. It shows the same numbers your assistant reads, and you can do everything there by hand.

What you can do

- Attach your email, so a lost link can be sent back to you

What we deliberately don't do.
These are decisions, not gaps.
- We never modify your HTML. No injected scripts, no analytics snippet, no badge. Your reader gets exactly the bytes your assistant wrote.
- We don't set counting cookies. Visitor numbers are approximate and cookie-free, on every page, on every plan. Pro gives a page's owner two optional cookies, both off unless they switch them on. When they do, it is their cookie on their page, and telling their readers is up to them. The whole arrangement is in the privacy notice.
- You choose who can edit it. We never touch the bytes. On the free plan a page is fixed once it is published; to change it, publish a new one. Pro lets you replace the file behind a link you already sent, keeps every earlier version so you can put one back, and lets you give someone else their own edit link. Either way, the link itself never changes under your reader's feet.
- Fair use applies. There are limits on how much one person can upload and how much traffic one page can record. They are set high enough that ordinary use never meets them, and they exist so that one bad day for somebody else is not one for you.
- There are no accounts. The edit link is the only credential, which is why your assistant offers to save it and why it matters that you keep it.
- Nothing is kept past its date. After 30 days, or 90 on Pro, the file, the analytics, and the metadata are deleted permanently, unless you chose to keep the page.
